Dr. Hong is a well respected Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon in Toronto and has performed over 5,000 aesthetic surgical procedures to date. He has been recognized as a top cosmetic surgeon for two consecutive years and is known for his expertise in deep plane facelift and neck lift surgery, as well as rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery.
Dr. Hong is currently on the teaching faculty at the University of Toronto and has staff privileges at both Hennick Humber Hospital and William Osler Health System. He has given presentations both nationally and internationally and has over 20 peer-reviewed publications to date in some of the top medical journals in the world, including the British Medical Journal, Journal of Clinical Oncology and Annals of Surgery. His article on Methodological Guide to Adopting New Aesthetic Surgical Innovations was selected as the Best North American Journal Article in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, which provides guidance to Plastic Surgeons when deciding to adopt new cosmetic techniques, technologies and/or products.
Dr. Hong is an active member of the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (CAFPRS), American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), Canadian Society of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery (CSO), Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), as well as the Canadian and Ontario Medical Associations.
Originally from Oakville, Ontario, Dr. Hong graduated from McMaster University with a degree in Bachelor of Health Sciences and received his MD degree from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine. He completed his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Toronto and pursued additional training in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in various renowned institutions, including New York City, Seoul, and Montreal.
