Before your treatment, we ask that you do the following:

1. Remove all makeup before coming to your appointment.
2. To reduce bruising, please avoid alcohol and other anti-inflammatories such as Advil, Aleve, Aspirin, Omego, Curcumin, Vitamin E, and Ginkgo Biloba for 3-5 days before your filler treatment.
3. Dental cleaning or other dental procedures should be completed at least 1-2 weeks before your filler treatment to decrease the chances of infection.
4. Please advise us if you have ever fainted or felt weak from needles or other medical procedures. If you are likely to experience these issues, please make sure to have a meal or snack before your appointment.
5. Please reschedule your appointment if you are ill or experiencing an active infection.

Upon your arrival to the clinic, you will settle into the procedure room where your face will be cleansed. Depending on what needs to be done, a topical anesthetic or cold compress may be initially applied. The dermal filler injection will then proceed.

You can also undergo treatment with a microcannula featuring a very small diameter. Compared to traditional hypodermic needles, blunt-tip microcannulae have significantly minimized patient bruising and swelling. This method reduces procedural pain and enables your desired results to appear sooner because it involves fewer puncture sites for less trauma (only one or two versus the several required with needles).

After your procedure, please adhere to the following:

• Use extra-strength Tylenol or Advil to manage any discomfort
• Use cool, soft, flexible ice packs to reduce swelling.
• Avoid exercising strenuously, going out into the sun, or drinking alcohol on the day of the treatment.

Failure to return for any scheduled post-op visits or follow the post-operative instructions may compromise the quality of your cosmetic enhancement.
