Botox and Juvederm can both help revitalize your face, making your skin look like it’s 10-20 years younger by reducing or eliminating wrinkles. Finding a qualified professional to give you the treatment, however, is a whole different ballgame. Since the laws are fuzzy on who is and isn’t allowed to administer these types of treatments, it can be hard to tell if you’ll be getting a job well done or a job that’s botched.
Finding a skilled medical professional is an important step in your Botox or Juvederm treatments. So, how can you go about finding the right person in Toronto to do your treatments? Let’s discuss some of the qualifications you should be looking for in a doctor who will administer your treatment.
They’re Local
Start small – look to local Toronto clinics and medical centres where Botox and Juvederm treatments are done. The easiest way to start the search is to look online, but that’s only one of many ways to find a treatment centre.
The easiest way may be to schedule an appointment with your family doctor, and ask if they can suggest anyone local who is skilled with Botox and/or Juvederm procedures. Doctors keep in the loop with other doctors, and they also know who is and isn’t skilled or specialized in certain fields. They may know exactly who to suggest… or, they may even offer the procedure in their own office!
They’re Certified
Generally speaking, a personal does not need to be medically licensed to administer Botox or Juvederm. This is why small “back alley” shops exist that can legally do Botox injections, or other sorts of non-surgical cosmetic work. While you COULD go to one of these locations for a procedure, it’s highly suggested you don’t.
Instead, seek out a medical professional who is board certified. You can be certain that the doctor or nurse will have a clean environment to perform the injections, which minimizes the chance of infections. Also, a doctor will know how to spot and avoid any physical complications you might have, such as an allergic reaction to the injection.
They’re Experienced
Make sure that, whoever you have perform your Botox or Juvederm treatment, the person is experienced in performing the injections. Don’t have any old doctor or nurse do your work – it’s too precise a procedure to have botched by an unskilled medical team.
Not all doctors are trained or experienced in giving these sorts of injections, and they might not know how to complete them correctly. This could end up giving you a bad-looking Botox or Juvederm job. Be safe – choose a provider who knows what they’re doing.
There are plenty of medical professionals in Toronto who knows exactly how to perform Botox and Juvederm treatments, along with many other non-surgical cosmetic work. Always be sure to ask your chosen doctor plenty of questions about their credentials and experience prior to going ahead with your injections.
