We all want our skin to stay looking fresh and young, but who has the time to put into endless hours of research to discover how to do it? We’re here to help – with our quick tips, you’re ensured a ton of knowledge on how to keep your skin fighting back against age!
Add Fish to Your Diet
If you’ve never heard of omega-3, then say hello to your new best friend! Omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to be healthy for, not only you, but your skin. If you ever needed an excuse to eat more fish, this is it!
Try Vitamins
Vitamins A, B, C, D, and E are all supplements are worth looking into if you’re looking to maintain youthful-looking skin – recent research suggests that these vitamins helps to stave-off some symptoms of the aging process, including skin degradation.
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!
Who wants dry skin? Not you! That’s why you’ll drink plenty of water every day. However you get that water into your system, just commit to doing it – it helps every area of your body function, and makes your skin look fresh and healthy.
But stay away from straws and bottles of water that cause you to purse your lips and mouth – they’ll create more lines and creases in your face than you had before!
Improve Your Posture
Do you slouch while sitting? That poor posture may be taking its toll on your skin! If you tend to sit at a computer for any period of the day, it could be stretching your facial skin in directions that are at-odds with your body, incurring wrinkles in the long-term.
Beware the Sun
Before going outside for any extended period of time, be sure to lather up with sunscreen. Even on a cloudy day, the sun’s rays can do damage to your skin that will age it prematurely.
Drink Red Wine
As if we needed more reasons to drink wine! Turns out that red wine, in particular, has some powerful chemical components that can help maintain your health, including the health of your skin. Just be sure not to overdo it – one glass a day of red wine is more than enough.
Cut Down on Caffeine
Many of us couldn’t start the day without a cup of coffee… and, while caffeine has many health benefits of its own, too much caffeine can start to wear away at your skin. Caffeine is known to dehydrate you, and the health of our skin relies heavily on hydration. Don’t overdo your daily intake of caffeine, and be sure to drink plenty of water when you do have that morning cup of coffee.
Keep Fit
Lastly, know that exercise will help your skin to retain its elasticity – a key step in keeping away wrinkles, lines, and sagging. As an added bonus, exercise and healthy eating will keep the rest of your body healthy, too! Keeping fit is a win-win for you and your skin.
